After 6 hours hardcore riding like a trail god one litre of Lidls finest motor oil is magically transformed into 800 mills is this summit I should look into or take a leaf out of Rachel's book n just top the fecker up and ride like the wind Bullseye.??ย
Cheaper to keep bunging oil in for now but it will get worse and could start burning a lot more. I would guess not just the valve guide oil seals but maybe piston and rings need replacing especially if yo run on poor quality oil

We had a couple of 230's in Spain that blew some oil and as Paul said we just kept an eye on it and topped up when necessary.

We never kept them long enough to do the piston but it's just the valve guide oil seals that go first. You might lose some power but when you've got as much as the CRF puts out you can afford itย
F you little genius I'm giving that a go for sure.
I'll give OPEC a call back and cancel my order to up oil production. I did buy these to fix it but too much noggin work for me I'll bin the feckers.๐๐
Yes mate I took it apart not a drop of oil left in it and Tim found some info on line that said the crf 150 is basically the same shock with less powerful spring and the rubber seal thing is available so bought one fitted it with new oil and Fay Presto jobs a good un and three rides later still sweet as.๐
I think I'm going to get a trail award for my informative and intelligent post it's on here called the doctor is in the house and I even put photos on๐ ๐
